Once live a construction labor who spent almost his life on constructing buildings after buildings.
He started his career there at a very tender age of 10 and carried on till he thought he should hang on his boots at the age of 65.
His skills, of course, all gained by practical experience, were tremendous that at times, even the Engineers would consult him during projects. He commanded respect from every corner of the working environment.
However, one thing nagged him badly that he was not paid well or he was not paid as compared to the novice engineers recruited by the construction company. In fact, the engineers were raw and this man was giving them the real tips! Our friend thought that he deserved more and this very thought threw all spokes on his job!
He pondered and pondered and decided that he would call quits. Enough is enough, i cant bear it any more and i am leaving, he thought. He went to the director and expressed his decision. The Director cooly replied, "Ok, i dont want to lose to you but you deserve this. all i request you to build a new house by yourself and then you can leave!"
The man obliged. He started constructing the new house by himself. No engineers supported him. However, the man had problems and also he was not motivated fully. His prime aim was to leave the organization and he did not heed much interest in the new project. He hurriedly finished the project and met the director.
The director said, "Thats fine! you finished in record time. Now take this key! this house is all yours!"
Moral: "Dont get demotivated while on the job. you may not know what will happen!"

A political joke
Madam Jayalalita had the political guts to say that the nomination of Ms Pratiba Patil for the President Post a political joke. However, now similar jokes are going on rounds and ironically the media is giving it an undue importance!
Its beyond ones imagination what made LK Advani to recommed for cofering Bharat Ratna on Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This has opened a pandora box and now recommendations galore from every nook and corner of the country.
Indeed Bharat Ratna had the sanctity till the first amendment was made to facilitate confering it posthumously. Then started the deterioration of the quality of the candidates.
The first bad choice was Ms Indira Gandhi and the worst choice being M G Ramachandran. Rajiv Gandhi, fairly new into politics, conferred this on MGR just to woo and please his regional partner.
Then Bharat Ratna was treated almost like a wreath on the dead celebrities. Patel, Ambedkar, and it started.
Now the list is fabulous! Kanshiram, Jagjivan Ram, Mohd Rafi, Karunanidhi, Mohd Hussain, Sachin Tendulkar etc.,
I cannot say whether all of them or none of them deserve Bharat Ratna but all I could say is Bharat Ratna is now becoming a political joke and it has no meaning to it!
Its the high time we stopped giving such awards!

Its over! We won and start a new beginning
Once again, India proved to be a spoke on the wheels of win for Australia. Their dream of 17 successive success had a severe blow at WACA. The Australian media predicted a cake-walk for Australians in the same venue by boasting off of the bounce. Alas! It bounced back or boomeranged!
The irony is, Indians should have gone 2-1 ahead in this series but for the sabotage of Steve Bucknor and Benson in collaboration with Australian players. The pressure of 16 successive wins had gone to their head and they simply lost their balance during the match at Sydney. Let us not discuss that here as it was discussed more than it required in the past.
This win is a real treat to all Indians and cricket lovers across the globe. Indians always remained a thorn in the flesh of Australia since a decade when they lost to us at Eden Gardens, a win crafted by Laxman and Dravid.
However, this win is sweet here because; we cannot single out a contribution for the win. If Viru gave the confidence to middle-order batsmen, Rahul, Sachin and Laxman made it easy. The contribution of runs from bowlers also helped us. RP Singh who did not last a ball in the last match (it is a pity that we lost 3 wickets in a span of 5 balls and our tail could not last 12 balls), chipped in with useful contribution.
Indian bowlers always performed well abroad and if the pitch aided, they excelled and this match is no exception. Good that India won after the hype it created after the last match and this win would save every word of BCCI.
Congrats Anil, keep up the good work! Allow this feel to sink in. Let us win in Adelaide also and square the series! Drop Jaffer & Dhoni, pick Dinesh and Bhajji that would balance the team’s proportion!
